Ufuk University has started its education in 2002-2003 academic year. As a non-profit foundation university, it has five faculties, three vocational schools and master programmes in social sciences. There will also begin a doctorate programme in the next academic year.

The International Relations Office has been established for organizing international cooperation and exchange programmes. It is responsible for providing information and guidance about academic, administrative and related topics for both full-time international and/or exchange students and as well as for the staff. The Office is also responsible for initiating, organizing and implementing collaborative agreements. There are four office staff and a secretary. The Office coordinator and assistant coordinator are responsible for organizing mobility activities and also European and International cooperation. The student supervisors are responsible for coordination of mobility for incoming and outgoing students and staff. There is also a faculty member who is responsible for supervising the mobility activities in each faculty level.
